What is this app?

This app helps you practice mahjong tile efficiency problems (what to discard). You can improve your decision-making skills for real games. Problems range from beginner to advanced levels, so you can practice at your own pace.

How do I answer a question?

Tap on the tile you want to discard from your hand. The selected tile will be highlighted. Then tap the "Answer" button to check your answer. If you want to discard the drawn tile, tap the rightmost tile (tsumo).

What is Normal Mode?

Normal Mode presents random questions at your own pace. Incorrect answers are automatically saved for later review. This mode is recommended if you want to think carefully without time pressure.

What is the Glossary?

The Glossary lets you look up mahjong terminology. Access it from the menu on the home screen. Tapping on terms in explanations shows a popup with the definition (Premium feature).

What is Premium?

Premium is a paid subscription plan. It offers an ad-free learning experience, inline glossary definitions, access to all questions, and various other benefits.

Do I need to create an account?

Basic features work without an account, but creating one lets you save your learning history, sync across devices, and save favorites.

The app is not loading

Check your internet connection. If the connection is fine, try restarting the app. If the issue persists, try reinstalling the app.

How do I start practicing?

Simply tap on any mode from the home screen to begin. "Normal Mode" is for basic practice, while "Challenge Mode" tests you with 10 consecutive questions. We recommend starting with Normal Mode.

What is the timer for?

The timer helps you practice making quick decisions like in real games. Answering within the time limit trains you to decide faster during actual matches. You can still answer after time runs out, but it will be recorded as a timeout.

What is Challenge Mode?

Challenge Mode presents 10 consecutive questions. Answer all questions within the time limit and compete for accuracy. You can attempt once per day and share your results.

How do I change the language?

You can change the language from Settings in your Profile. Japanese and English are supported. Changing the language will also show explanations in your selected language.

What features are included in Premium?

Premium includes:

- Priority support

How do I create an account?

Tap "Login" or "Sign Up" on the Profile screen. You can register with your email address and password.

My progress is not saving

Make sure you're logged in. Some data may not be saved in guest mode. Also, answers made while offline will sync when you're back online.

What do the tile animations mean?

When a question appears, tiles flip over in sequence. After the 13-tile hand is shown, the drawn tile (tsumo) appears last. The timer starts once all tiles are revealed.

What do the colors after answering mean?

Green indicates your selected tile was correct. Red indicates an incorrect answer, and the correct tile is shown in green. Read the explanation to understand why that tile is the best choice.

What is Sequential Mode?

Sequential Mode (Normal Sequential / Basic Sequential) presents questions in numerical order. This is ideal for those who want to solve all problems systematically or focus on a specific range.

How do I check my statistics?

You can view your statistics from the Profile screen. It shows total answers, accuracy rate, streaks, and more. The calendar also displays your daily practice history.

How do I subscribe to Premium?

Tap "Upgrade to Premium" on the Profile screen, or tap on any restricted feature like the glossary to see plan options. You can choose between monthly and yearly plans.

How do I reset my password?

Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen. A password reset link will be sent to your registered email address.

The timer is not working correctly

The timer starts after all tiles are revealed. Please wait for the tile animations to complete. If the issue persists, try restarting the app.

What is Ukeire?

Ukeire refers to the types and number of tiles that can improve your hand toward tenpai. The ukeire information shown after answering helps you understand how efficient each choice is. More tiles generally means better winning chances.

What is Favorites Mode?

This mode lets you practice only your favorited questions. Tap the star icon on any question to add it to favorites. It's useful for saving questions you find difficult or want to practice repeatedly.

Can I practice offline?

Yes, some features work offline. Questions downloaded in advance can be practiced without an internet connection. Your answers will sync when you're back online.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Cancel your subscription through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) settings. Note that you cannot cancel from within the app. You can continue using Premium features until the end of your billing period.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, go to Settings in your Profile and select "Delete Account". This will permanently delete all your learning history and data, which cannot be recovered.

How do I report a bug or give feedback?

Select "Feedback" from the menu in the top right of the question screen to send feedback about that question. For general feedback, use the option in Settings on the Profile screen.

How do I read the hand information?

The top of the screen shows information like "East 1, East seat, Turn 5". This means "First hand of East round, you are the dealer (East), 5th turn". The dora indicator is also shown to help you consider hand value in your decision.

What is Mistakes Mode?

This mode lets you review only the questions you've answered incorrectly. Mistakes are automatically recorded, helping you efficiently work on your weaknesses.

How do I share my results?

Tap the share button shown after completing Challenge Mode or answering questions to share your results as an image or link. Compete with friends on social media!
